  Ever had a Mai Tai? Send your thanks to Trader Vic’s, a family chain with a legacy well admired and respected by tiki enthusiasts. Although this particular location is not a standalone restaurant, it is ideally situated poolside in the historic Beverly Hilton Hotel, an appropriate spot for this island themed bar and restaurant.
  
  The space is suitably decorated in island dress, although it doesn’t feel heartily authentic. It falls more along the lines of a commercialized version of tiki, mostly likely due to the fact that it’s a part of a hotel. The lighting is a little too bright for evening, but great for daytime drinks. The real action is hanging out poolside, where all your vintage dreams come true. The lighting at night is spectacular.
  
  As far as drinks go, the menu is robust. Lost to explore and dive into. The Mai Tai was well balanced and delicious, but did not exceed my expectations. The Singapore Sling was refreshing yet the flavor landed on one note, nothing to excite the imagination. The bartenders were polite and looked like hotel staff, which didn’t give much confidence in the commitment to their craft. In short, the drinks were fair and pricey.
  
  We did order chips and guacamole while there, would recommend. The spicy bar nuts however, had no business being so addicting, and free too boot!
  
  Would I go back? Yes, for the right occasion. I’m very curious to check out the space daytime and take a dip in the pool while sipping a Mai Tai.

  Nice restaurant fixing the hotel pool. Very relaxing to grab lunch or just a drink and snacks.
